TUGM salutes one of the greats of burlesque who turns 84 today (she would call it 21, as she was born a leap year gal), Tempest Storm. Starting her career in the late 1940’s, while diverted from an intended trip to Hollywood, she developed a stage act that utilized her naturally ample bosom and charismatic presence lasting more than half a century. Always a classy performer, veering away from sleaze, her acts were more of a great tease to those watching. This approach might explain why she was still stripteasing in her 80s!
